Anyway, I thought I'd share details on my recent thinking; some of my favourite interactions have been between Chun and the main characters via Zoom - I did originally wonder about including her in the plot, having her join the other two. I even wrote some awkward fumbling scenes where Chun joined the bubble.
Buuuut ... I have decided not to include Chun in Anna and Kal's apartment. I think it makes sense as a believable relationship and the believability provides a strong part of the erotic feeling of the series for me, so I'm going to keep it these two and steer clear of the temptation to make it a threesome. I just don't know anybody in the real world who has successfully maintained a three-person sexual relationship. In fact I really don't think it can be done in a healthy (and non-controlling / novelty religious patriarchal) way. So ... there we go. Sorry Chun, you'll just have to observe from a distance, hehe 😄
But here is a question: should I show Chun in her apartment, like direct renders of her talking to the couple from her point of view? Or should I just keep her so she's only ever seen on the ipad? Hmm ...
One is talking while the other is 'playing' outside the tablets view, and failing to properly hang up and being discovered because of it....
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIntroducing Chun's apartment would only make sense if something happens from her point of view that moves the story forward, but the main characters don't know about it yet. If she is only a supporting character and has limited interaction with the main characters, then a video call is more than enough to involve her in the story. At least that's how I would write the story, but I'm just a side character from a forum post from your story. :-)

You could maybe show a direct shot of the room behind her, just what appears on Ana's screen, and comment on untidy underwear, other things she forgot to hide before joining a video call, naked men walking past, etc... but there's no obvious reason for us to see the rest of her home.

I don't disagree that there can be a lot of problems in a three way relationship, but through open communication and consent it is doable. Though I think that Chun makes much more sense staying on the tablet. It fits the "bubble" narrative better. She already seems to be living a little vicariously through Anna and Kal's antics, so a little consensual voyeurism doesn't feel like much a stretch at all.

She views the relationship of Anna and Kal through a screen, and gets excited herself thinking about it. Perhaps a bonus page or two of her masturbating while thinking about the couple could show her perspective and show us readers what we might want to do. Otherwise, the main story here belongs to Anna and Kal, and mostly focuses on their perspectives, unless you want someone else driving their relationship. Perspective indicates initiative, so showing events from a certain person's perspective shows what that person wants and chooses to make happen.
